This is Willie Apiatia willie received a Victorias cross on the second of Jully 2007 for bravery under fire during the Afghanistan conflict in 2004.after carrying a gravely wounded comrade across a battlefield, under fire, to safety.Willie is a former NZ corporal. He was was in the NZ special air services the (NZSAS) was attacked in the at night rockets and grenades were propelled and blew up were he was sleeping two other people were with him injured and he got them over 70m to the camp out.
